Teacup Pomeranian
Teacup Pomeranian dogs are small dogs with compact body and a plumed upright tail. This dog originated in Germany. Teacup Pomeranian has the ability to perform tricks. These dogs have a pointed muzzle and are members of the Spitz family of dogs. They are very intelligent and good at learning tricks. Pomeranian is very affectionate, loyal, devoted and adaptable dog. Teacup Pomeranian was originally bred as a lapdog and companion. It’s ancestors were strong and tough sledding dogs. The Pomeranians are also known as the toy dogs. Toy dogs are bred to amuse the rich and the famous. They are often reffered to as Poms or Puffball. Teacup Pomeranian dogs have white, black, brown or blue coat. It’s top coat is long and straight, and undercoat is soft and fluffy.
They require weekly care and grooming. Potential health problems of the Teacup Pomeranian include kneecap luxates, problems with teeth and entropion which is a problem with dog’s eyes. Teacup Pomeranian lives up to 15 years. Pomeranian got its name from the Pomerania region in Central Europe which is a part of eastern Germany and northern Poland. It belongs to the German Spitz breed and in many European countries Pomeranians are known as the Zwergspitz which means dwarf spitz. These teacup dogs were popular among royals since the 17th century. Today, this breed is amont the top 15 most popular breeds in the United States. The most common colors of Pomeranians are orange, black or cream, white. In 1900, Pomeranian breed was recognized by the AKC. Two Pomeranian dogs were among only three dogs to survive the sinking of Titanic. This breed is among the most popular breeds in the US. Teacup Pomeranian is also commonly called Deutsche Spitze, Zwergspitz, Spitz nain, Spitz enano, Pom and Zwers. These teacup dogs are cute and lovable and they will bring pleasure and joy in every home.
