Teacup Dog, Teacup Dogs
It is believed that Maltese is the oldest breed among the lap dogs. They were owned by most of the European noblemen. The Malese originated on the island of Malta. Their ancestors were working dogs. Teacup Maltese are identified by their round black eyes, button nose and white, long hair. They only come in white color and their hair doesn’t shed a lot which makes them perfect pets for people with allergies. Maltese dogs like to be carried around. They are very adaptable and athletic dogs. Grooming is required daily. Maltese may have some dental disease but are generally healthy dogs. Since they are small dogs, they shouldn’t be left with young children because they can be easily hurt if stopped on or dropped.
